History on the Jormungandr

The history behind the Jormungand (Your-mun-gand) is quite deep and is very detailed. Known as the mid-gaurd Serpent, he is known to lurk the oceans of the visible world according to Norse folk-lore.

A giant beast that is furious we tamed him down a bit by depicting a design that embodies his neutral state on the edge of the plate.

FAQ- Design, Source, & Delivery Process

  • Are Heimdallsworkshop items made in the U.S.A? Depending on the piece you order we have a team that works on your item in Texas, North Carolina, Ukraine, & Surat, India. The vast majority of our items are prepared in the U.S.A but we are currently working on hospitality projects with expert carvers in Ukraine and India.
  • Who designs the pieces? All of the designs are made by our team here in the U.S.A, however we take our inspiration from Norse and Viking mythology so the characters are not unique to us & are well known within the Nordic Mythology spectrum. We take their depiction from our research from various sources and then we sketch our own design and create a time-less piece that can fit into any modern or even ancient themed home!
  • Can I customize a product? We are currently limited on customization, however if you really need an item customized, we would suggest reaching our team well before the date that you would need it (At-least 2 months) as we would need to go through the entire process of design, fabrication, quotation and delivery for your specific piece.
  • How long will it take to receive my order? We work on each piece as it is ordered and individually. Depending on the item it takes any-where from 3-4 weeks to complete and ship. This also depends on the item you are purchasing our larger items generally can take up-to 5 weeks, while our Plates, Ladles, watches and candle holders can be finished and delivered within 2 weeks.
  • What shipping carriers do you use? We use UPS and if needed we use Fed-Ex.
  • Where does my order ship from? Depending on the piece your order will ship from either Dallas, Texas or our fulfillment center in Chicago, Illinois.

Maintenance, Orders and Returns.

  • How should I maintain my items? All of our items are coated with a protective food safe coating. They are definitely protected from spills and even food when it comes to our bowls (obviously). We always recommend doing a nice wipe down with a natural oil every now and then such as olive oil or mineral oil (it is not needed) but it is a great way to maintain our pieces.
  • Do you repair broken items? Typically we do not repair, we recommend if you purchase a higher end item from our store that you treat it with it's due right and take great care of it. 
  • Do you offer a warranty or returns? Yes. If an item does break or does not meet your expectations we do offer a full money back refund. We offer a 1 year warranty for items that are damaged, and offer a full 30 day money back refund if the item does not meet your expectations.

Currently we ship UPS, USPS, Fedex, and DHL if you are outside of the states. The shipping time generally via these services could range from 1-10 business days. So please keep this in mind when ordering your item as this is additional to the the completion of your piece.

When an order is shipped we provide you a tracking number.

International Customers

We offer free shipping to the World-wide however we do not offer free returns for international clients & we do not cover customs fees.

Customer is responsible for customs and import fees.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
We do not accept returns on any of our custom products.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or purchases where discount codes are used.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Our Warranty and Servicing differs based on the collection purchased from us.

Warranty

For any of our watches we offer a 2 year limited warranty from date of purchase. Any sort of proof of purchase gives you full right to replacement parts or a replacement watch as long as it falls under warranty. Servicing is offered for a life-time. Customer must cover shipping charges to and from our North Carolina facility.

Servicing (After 2 years): $100 Money order or Check must be included with the shipment.

Damaged or Repair Issue (within 2 year period): Free, however shipping to our facility must be covered by customer.

After the 2 year period the customer must mail with their watch the following:

Infantry Collection: $35 money order for servicing/repair

Raider Collection:$75 money order for servicing/repair

Berserker Collection:$95 money order for servicing/repair

Valhalla Bog Oak Set:This is a fully hand crafted from aged bog oak piece. This is more of an antique and not meant for daily wear and tear. The customer is responsible for paying a $300 fee for repair or replacement.

Situations Not Included under Warranty 

It does not apply to normal wear and tear or to abuse and excludes the watch case, crystal (glass), strap, bracelet and charging unit (if included). In the event of a defect or malfunction within the warranty period, your watch will be serviced under the limited warranty terms.

Disclaimer: The warranty does not apply to damage caused, in Gunhild's sole discretion, by tampering with or opening the watch case. Defects or damage resulting from repairs, tampering, or opening the watch case by anyone other than an Gunhild Authorized Service Facility will void the warranty.
